Delta-8 “CBD”
I’ve not tried Delta-8 personally. I’m told it’s not cohesive with sobriety AT ALL. It’s getting national attention and I think it has poured salt in the wound on this battle for kratom legality. All of these altered, formerly derived from plant material based products, being tasty treats to be found at convenience stores just hasn’t been helpful for the kratom legality advocacy portion of the community. I’m concerned for: the chronic pain / depression / anxiety folks and the “getting off of opiates or suboxone” folks and those in recovery, like myself. Most of whom are not abusing kratom. I’m most worried about the vulnerable folks with this ban threat. A lot of these folks got screwed by the opiate shitt show and the fiascos still in the wake of that money-grubbing nightmare.
Please be sure loved ones are using safe products that won’t lead down a rabbit hole of problems and DON’T FORGET to submit your personal journey of support for keeping kratom legal to the website I provided earlier here. Hit me up if you need help finding the area to send your RESPECTFUL letter.
Sincere thanks!
Have a wee bit better day!
Thank YOU, @tiggermanscrat for the ongoing support as well! Your posts here are incredibly important to keep discussions alive until the next wave of users start pouring in (it’s when. Not if, in my opinion). @Babel-17 is ALSO very helpful with keeping the forum fresh and tidied while we enjoy the quiet time while it lasts.
Quite a few kratom vendors have been selling Delta-8, unfortunately. I really would like to see more space between the two products and they are hanging out on store shelves right alongside adulterated (derived from) kratom products in convenience stores. I want to put a big wall up between them. They look so similar with regard to packaging and in some cases even the products themselves look almost the same.
BACK TO POSITIVITY. Got my letter finished finally and submitted today AFTER it was announced that we have passed 10 thousand comments. I really expected more like 10 million comments. Plus, this is a GLOBAL issue and I’m seeing very little Indonesian response. Weird. Hopefully my view is warped!
Have a wee bit better day!
Brandon and I purchased CBD hemp from an organic farm that has a nice lady who acts as their contact. She's also one of the owners. Yadda yadda yadda, they've been trying out a hemp that's got Delta-8 sprinkled on it. Berry Nice! Too pricey at the moment, but so was CBG hemp at one time, and the price of that has plummeted.
Connoisseurs pay top dollar for the big and pretty buds, consequently yooge discounts get applied to the small buds, especially during the frequent sales. Always buy during a sale. If you text them/get on their mailing list, you could qualify for a discount coupon. Anyone purchasing should contact them first, they love answering questions.
Remember, small/bargain buds is what you want, if you don't mind dealing with small buds, as they are just as potent.
Delta-8 can be a bit euphoric, so I guess that could be an issue, though I didn't find it addictive as such. Though I guess I could get used to it so as make using it a habit, and then what constitutes an addiction could be arguable. Lol, my wallet said no to it several months ago, but the price has come down. I'd want to wait until my CBD and CBG hemp supply was mostly gone before ordering anything more though. They are only offering an infusion of Delta-8, so I'd be mostly getting just more legal hemp.

I forgot to include the name of the owner/rep, it's Alysha. I should have emphasized that Organic Green Roots sells mostly regular CBD hemp. And of course respect everyone's caution around something that could be addictive, or not good for them.
I went to edit my post, but I'd waited too long.
My entire reply got wiped clean when I went to get this from the list of information being presented to the WHO about kratom:
“Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine are the main active constituents of the plant Mitragyna speciosa, commonly known as kratom, an indigenous plant of Southeast Asia. Kratom is abused for its ability to produce opioid-like effects. Kratom is available in several different forms to include dried/crushed leaves, powder, capsules, tablets, liquids, and gum/resin. Kratom is an increasingly popular drug of abuse and readily available on the recreational drug market in the United States. Evidence suggests that kratom is abused individually and with other psychoactive substances. Kratom does not have an approved medical use in the United States and has not been studied as a treatment agent in the United States. Kratom has a history of being used as an opium substitute in Southeast Asia. In the United States, kratom is misused to self-treat chronic pain and opioid withdrawal symptoms. Consumption of kratom can lead to a number of health impacts, including, among others, respiratory depression, vomiting, nervousness, weight loss, and constipation. Kratom has been reported to have both narcotic and stimulant-like effects, and withdrawal symptoms may include hostility, aggression, excessive tearing, aching of muscles and bones, and jerky limb movements. Kratom is not a controlled substance under the CSA.”
My issues with Delta-8 and kratom are the outward appearances and packaging similarities as well as being marketed together on store shelves. NOT the addiction risks. Not even the affects, which you clearly pointed out are NOT comparable.
As you can see in the above proposal of concerns, the biggest health threat is RESPIRATORY DEPRESSION, which is NOT EVEN TRUE. At least from my experience so far.
Regulators who have no knowledge about kratom except what they are told (LIES) is where my concern is. Being “guilty by association” based on appearances alone might be the biggest problem with keeping kratom legal.
Thank you for the educational information, @Babel-17, as I have NO CLUE about anything CBD or THC beyond weed in the 80’s.
Have a wee bit better day!
