Just bought a Asus Zenphone 6 and Recommend Highly
I've been using a LG V20 for over a year, but it's begun overheating and glitching. So I figure buy a new phone at my convenience.
The great thing about the LG-20 is that it has replaceable Battery, Simm Card and a headphone jack. The specs on the LG-20 are a little outdated so I figured I'd buy a different phone.
Call me old fashioned but I think it's ridiculous how they are shortchanging customers on the new Phones. Some of it is Anti Consumer. With Bluetooth I need another device to keep charged or to carry around an extra dongle, like I need a hole in the head. I also like driving with my headphone and charging at the same time. Taking out the headphone jack is so anti-consumer. The sound just isn't as good out of BlueTooth headsets. And you are dead in the water when your headset runs out of juice.
I also am a firm believer in SD Card. What is the use of all these fancy cameras and MP3s if you have no room on your phone to store your movie or Songs. In addition I don't have unlimited plan. I pay around 25 bucks a month for 8gb of bandwith through Mint Mobile. The google philosophy of keeping everything on the cloud is more expensive.
Anyway I chose the Zenphone 6 because it has a 5000 mah battery. It's the only Flagship quality phone with that large a battery. A phone with no battery power is pretty useless. And it's inconvenient and stressful to always be running out of battery.
It also met the other Criteria. Top of the line Snapdragon 855 processor, 6gb Ram, Kick ass Camera, SD Card Support, and headphone jack. It's also priced at $499.00 (64gb Memory) or $550( 128gb memory). I went with the extra memory. Iliked that it was around $200.00 less than other Flagships with inferior battery.
The other worthy contender was the Pixel 3A but not taking a SD Card was a deal breaker. Also the battery was much smaller.
Forget Apple they took both headset jack and Sd Card out of their phones. I'd never buy an Apple because of that.
The only tradeoff on the phone is that the screen is IPS not amoled. It's also a little bigger than other phones because of the larger battery.
Anyway, so far I'm a happy camper with this phone.
