Green Maeng Da for anxiety?

I was mistakenly sent a whole kilo of Green Maeng Da instead of the red strain I had ordered and wondered if anyone has used the G Maeng Da for anxiety.
I understand it is quite energetic and I suffer from anxiety but would try it if I could find a way to have it not affect my anxiety....
Would trying a large dose like 10 or 12 grams provide for more sedating effects, and lessen the energetic?

wondering if anyone has had any experience with Green Maeng Da and could answer these questions.

Any help is welcome.

Thanks.

Hi Old man. Green is the ultimate to have on hand during a "crisis", so I would try your green at a smaller dose. Greens don't affect the anxiety the way whites and yellows do. Reds are primarily for pain relief. You likely know all this. The green may help you in ways you hadn't noticed with red alone. It's safe to try. I use green to calm down when my whites are working too well. Let us know what you decide to do. Not really a good time for exchanges, but most vendors will provide an even trade in such cases, minus the tiny amount you use to sample it.

Have a wee bit better day!

Hi Laurie,

I really need to thank you; I took your advice and took the Green Maeng Da and was I ever happy with the results....everything you said is absolutely true....it is off the charts more appealing than the red, I can't believe it....I'm a singer and have never sung so easily and effortlessly with the boost from G. Maeng Da....it is definitely my new favorite and I have you to thank.

It has lasted much longer than the red ever did and has a very smooth and effective energy feel with absolutely no anxiety whatsoever.

Thank you so much Laurie, I'm glad I summoned the courage to take your advice!!!!
All the best!

Happy to hear, old man. Remember, you can also mix and make your own blends. I do this routinely to keep my tolerance low. Like art; a little dab of this, a little dab of that.. your green likely won't CONTINUALLY have the magnitude of effect after your first week or two, so prepare to be less EXCITED if used without switching - over time. I still mix a little green with just about any blend 🙂 I still can't sing!! Ha!

Have a wee bit better day!

What else have you got, old man? There are no wrongs with kratom, except too much will ruin things. For example, my tolerance has been OFF THE CHARTS high since the DEA announcement, so now I need to make my doses smaller. I'm up to 4 level teaspoons every 2 to 4 hours. But, no 2 mixes are alike. Have you got any other kinds on hand? If not, no worries as vendors are expecting new orders in the coming days/weeks. Some vendors even call me to say, "the stuff you ordered is ok, but not our best batch. Would you like to try (blank) instead? That helps. Every strain effects each individual differently. Some are better for getting off opiates, etc...there is a lot of reading material on this webpage (outside of the forum) and I can help guide you from JUST my metabolism.
I think your post was one of the best posts I've gotten - anywhere. Thank you, Too!

Have a wee bit better day!

Assuming you mean by "what else have you hit" means what else have you taken? Duh.
Anyway, I'm an Infantry combat soldier from Viet Nam; seems like ages ago, and it was! I say that to say I've tried pure heroin over there and the best marijuana I've ever had and mucho cheap too.
Ah yes, heroin, only did it for one week and that was enough....guys were killing themselves with the stuff and couldn't see it. Anyway, got back to the states and went to Manhattan School of Music and have two vocal performance degrees. Have been singing classically ever since...I mainly teach now, but do sing in things like the Jewish High Holy Days, in a 12 person pro choir....loads of fun.
I got stuck on codeine in cough syrup, no less....went to methadone and weaned myself off of that. Not easy....
I had a PTSD attack this summer after stopping some skunk weed, which I enjoyed for about 6 months. Was panicking so saw a doctor and was prescribed Xanax and Remeron....I FINALLY tapered off the devil's medicaiton which is Xanax and am almost done with the taper on Remeron...I found out Remeron is not an anti depressant at all, but a powerful antihistamine....never the less, it is tough to kick...
That brings you up to date. I had originally tried white Maeng Da when looking for something to help my anxiety this summer and wow was that the wrong choice.....returned two a kilo and was really confused; needed counseling on which kratom would help me, when I finally found the red strains, which helped a lot.....So, when the Green Maeng Da came along I was very nervous about trying it and with your aid, had the courage to try it....it is truly amazing. I do have a kilo of red bali that I can mix with...in fact I put most of my kratom into capsules and took 7 G Maeng Da and 5 red bali about 1/2 hour and am feeling great right now.
I was so glad the Maeng Da lasted longer than the red....I was doing 2 to 3 doses per day of about 11 00 capsules....if taken with water I would usually do only 2 teaspoons.
So, what do you think about the kratom ban? Feels like it might not go through with all the protests....God, I hope they don't take it away. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.

You're quick on the trigger still. I corrected "hit" to "got", meaning, what more have you got for us to mix? However, yes, whites and yellows are my morning coffee strains. I took YOUR advice and had one level teaspoon with one level green and one level red. So, you see, the dragon still wants more (addiction), even tho more does nothing but run through the colon and the stash.
I'm glad to hear of a war veteran getting benefit from this. That green you have is your ticket off the remeron! Use it instead as you wean. You will be off in no time (extra dosing is needed for kicking drugs). Green is the all time best for kicking anything. Not to say it SOLVES addiction, it softens withdrawal some. That error on your order was mighty nice. Otherwise you may have never known the options. Only whites and yellows and plain maeng da will aggravate anxiety. In my experience. Which is vast. During better days, I was able to try tiny samples from most of the well-known vendors. They are happy to help with questions like yours, so your best bet is to call the vendor you ordered from if that happens again. I suspect they would have told you what I said, but enjoy that kilo! No two greens are identical, but a batch will be the same. Unless you order a blend. Some vendors do blending, however I do my own and brush my teeth a lot 😉 The vendor you got it from will also appreciate hearing from you and what "we" did. They take great pride in helping people, so please take a moment to email him or her with the error AND your happiness. All vendors are especially proud of saving Vets from PTSD (very common), so let them know that as well. During normal times, you might also ask for a sample of another vein, in addition to your order. Many provided samples, even during the dark days of September. I have been actively writing constructive letters to Senators (mine wrote back, saying THANKS, I'm retiring and cleaning out my office, good luck), so I wrote OTHERS not focused on packing up chachkies from the past.
Do let your vendor know what happened and how it worked out to your advantage.
I believe we just might win freedom in this case. At first, I didn't believe we had a chance in heck. And this is the ONLY medicine that helps my depression and PTSD, and chronic pain, sometimes. I got interested while addicted to oxys. I kicked them over an 11 day period before I remembered I had kratom in the house, ha! It helped me walk on Day 12. I've been off since April 17 and attend NA meetings now. My pain levels are still high, but I am so glad I FEEL pain again. With pain comes other important senses.
I wear it begrudgingly with pride in staying clean (I do not consider kratom a drug, but that is debatable). Having the rug pulled out so soon in my recovery was devastating. I panicked in every possible sense. I was a full time panic attack on legs. It took the entire month to chill out and stock up. I've grown to care about vendors AND users alike. That helped. Knowing this made me determined to save family businesses and livelihoods here and even the farmers and their kin in Southeast Asia and Indonesia! Without their help, we have nothing!
I think the AKA (American Kratom Association) has done wonders with their legal team, and I am trying to help by supporting the cause. Some people have treated parents with Parkinson's (successfully) and a whole host of uses. Dogs have responded favorably to kratom when their hips stopped moving!

Have a wee bit better day!

Also add this page to your reading material, if you haven't already: http://www.americankratom.org/recent_news
And if you ever need vendor recommendations, it sounds like you don't. But if that changes, I'm happy to share my favorites (long list).

Great to hear from you.....I was drafted so went to Viet Nam against my will really....Infantry was the only thing I didn't want, but that's what I got. Longest year of my life..

I appreciate your help with the information you are giving about "all things Kratom"; helps to figure out how it all works.

Would love to hear your recommendations on vendors....I really panicked when the ban was suppose to take place at the end of Sept. I had two kilos of red and wanted to still use it but didn't want to get busted by having it on my premises...I went to a local Forest Preserve and buried a kilo in what I thought was a remote area, but someone saw me and must have later dug up my kratom and took it...what are the freakin' chances? Unbelievable....

And then I took the other kilo and put it in capsules and divided it up into several heavy duty baggies, and hid them in unsuspecting areas of the Forest Preserve.....After the DEA changed their minds, I went back to retrieve them and animals got into them and I lost about 1/2 of what I hid....again, unbelievable.... I still don't know how I'll handle that if they ban in the future...I'm too paranoid to hide it on my property, so maybe will try to bury it again, I don't know.....any thoughts?

Thanks for the link ... I'll check it out.

I've battled depression as well....years ago I was prescribed Effexor.....made me emotionally numb. My father died and I didn't shed a tear...unreal. Tapering off of Effexor was pure hell.

I came across kanna and the website, https://sceletium.com/usage-benefits/ Reading over this material, I had to order some and I have been disappointed with it....makes me jittery....it may
deliver serotonin to the brain, but at least in my case, it didn't live up to the hype...could be that I should check out the capsules, because I just ordered same powdered kanna....
I have found Lithium Orotate, not the other harmful pharmaceutical, to be a help with depression. I listened to a few videos on YouTube by Dr. John Gray on Lithium Orotate so I ordered a bottle, not expensive, and it does give a noticeable boost, so I know it delivers serotonin to the brain.

That's crazy about your stashes being stolen. I hope they got into the hands of those who can use help with PTSD, depression, or addiction issues. I know it helps dogs, so now we'll have natural wildlife animals supporting our need to keep kratom legal?! LOL
Your story is inspiring. I'm busily trying to help get some talk radio media attention to the subject, so I'm exhausted today already. I've got personal business to conduct, but I'll be happy to provide suggested vendors - just contact me through private messaging on this forum and I'll check it tonite after I've handled other business. Welcome to the boards, Oldman. Don't bury ANY MORE at this time! I'll be in touch! Look around, there's a lot of resources on this website, dated as it is. Hugs, Laurie

Hey David,
I was not teasing you for burying the stuff. You are not the only person I know who did that.
My ex husband buried "our" retirement savings, so I'm broke. I suspect silver is easier to bury without wildlife interest from the smell (the wild have such acute senses!).
I just mean, it's legal for now, so catch a sigh of relief and enjoy a little. Plenty of work ahead in December to get this thing legal nationwide, once and for all! Sheesh. Nobody makes such a fuss for ginkgo biloba!
Keep reading up on the topic. Kristen's reviews (do a search) are dated, but not unhelpful. Her reviews were where I started. Her writing here will really help you gain more insight on the different veins and strains.

thanks Laurie.

It depends. Plus, the rules of the forum are not to mention vendors EXCEPT when doing reviews - there's an area to do vendor reviews, so read those. I have about 10 favorites. I love the PEOPLE the most. The depending factors are strains/veins I need, quantity, delivery time, cost. All weigh in after vendor PEOPLE. You'll have to write me privately. Sorry, it's the rules, and there are very few I wouldn't use.

Have a wee bit better day!

Oldman, thank you for your service. My brother in law also served and suffers from PTSD. He formed the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America in our small town.
