New here and to kratom

Hey I am new here I have been on pain killers for two years for my back and I don't like how it messes with me mentally so I have been exploring kratom options and joined here to learn who has the best options and what doses are best for me.

Welcome to ILK, @Ruinedknifes !
Things are a bit slow but I suggest you don’t stray too far. We are all respectful and just wanna help! 👍
We are seeing more visitors every day, so definitely check back.
The best place to start is titration off the pharmaceuticals or they take over and kratom can’t get to the proper receptors.
Kratom is interesting because a huge variety of people who have unique issues respond to the leaf.
Disclaimer this is not medical advice but rather just still amazed at how many types of symptoms might be lessened or more!
There are experienced people lurking in the shadows, always hanging on in case new people need help getting going (or not).
You’ll want to watch Leaf of Life on Netflix if you get that movie app. The movie is already super outdated and obsolete, but there are fundamentals to be found still.
Hamiltons Pharmacopoeia offers a host of things that some of us (me) didn’t know.
This forum developer has been posting so much great reference material. It’s really best to read some stuff before jumping in. People regret skipping the directions (guilty as charged). Many people who NEVER read about it, then misuse it. And then post on Facebook to have it banned.
Less is more, unfortunately.
Finally, getting the opiates out really helps. If you can take something to sleep (instead of kratom), without taking pain pills is a good time to start.
See you later, hope you got something helpful out of the novel-text
Have a wee bit better day!

Thanks for videos to watch. I couldn't find Netflix one but there is a Leaf of faith on prime to rent. I have already done a ton of research before taking kratom but I did read through the guide. I noticed this is kind of dead as far as people talking but I'd like to get the knowledge of best products since I have only used gas station kratom and now golden monk. Everyone says Red Maeng da is best but from the gas station stuff I used my fav was green indo. I have had Red Bali, green maeng da, green indo and golden monks red maeng da. I'd like to try more but idk what to do. These were all capsules and I'll do 4-6 then 2-3 once or twice more in a day. I guess the best question I have is... in your opinion which companies seem to be best price to quality ratio?
Further info on me, you can call me Jay. I torn my L4 disc in 2017 struggled with 3 herniated discs after that then had surgery in October to fix the L4 disc which has caused me a lot of leg pain and I had missed a bunch of work due to it. I am currently back at work with minimal issues compared to before but it could take up to a year to fully heal so they say. I use the peleton a few times a week but after a year I'll get back to the gym. Before my injury I was running ultra marathons (my longest run was 68 miles in 14 hours or so) and was an elite division Spartan obstacle course runner. I am not your average sized runner at 6'6" 265lbs. I work in law enforcement unfortunately and the sitting kills me. The last two years I was also the head coach of a community colleges Esports team. My goal is to get back to normal and only use opioids and now kratom to get back to feeling normal or close to baseline as possible. I deal with major depression and anxiety disorder now due to being in pain for 4 years and have a PTSD issue from work.
I think I covered everything about me but I am bad at doing this. I have two daughters 6 year and 2 months old. Recently got my love of baseball back and I hate my job. 😂 Also 2 dogs and a turtle.

In Sense Botanicals has some good Plantation grown Reds, and blends, you might like as much as I do. Their Red Sumatra, Red Dragon, and Dark Red MD I found to be potent but not sedating. I even get a bit of a boost from them. Their other Reds are also good. The owner, Rob, actually answers the phone, and I'm sure would love to help you. Just bear in mind that he can't talk about his Kratom as if he was a pharmacist.

Laurie, who posted above, was part of the group there that requested the White Chocolate Borneo blend get offered by them, and it's really good. It's a balance between a faster White Borneo, and a slower fermented Red Borneo. I enjoy its all around effect of relieving my pain and helping with an upbeat mood.
Otie's Botanicals has a Red Bentaguie that can help in getting a restful night's sleep, or in having a mellow day.

Adam and Becca are the couple that own Otie's, and are both very helpful.
Hudson Valley Botanicals has some potent Kratom, and at fair prices.

I think there are some discount codes you might be able to use with these vendors. Laurie might remember what they are.
Hi all
Was getting something called Premium Jongkong
Looks like my vendor has run out 🙁
Oh well such is life.
Going to check out the Hudson Valley folks
Like Green or White and some strength cause well yes I have a bit of tolerance.
Looking at something in the Jongkong or Maeng Da familt but maybe there isn't much difference between those two.
Maybe I should try Oties as well since I have seen them listed before,
Just thinking out loud
Pat

I like riding shotgun while you think out loud. It’s still fun to visualize the options and recall upon my ((good!)) experiences with them and their quality products! All good!
Sometimes I end up doing something else entirely after mulling things over and start actual cart filling…
Have a wee bit better day!

@goshawk … Hudson or Oties … all good options ! The super green Malay and white jong Kong from oties is excellent.
Hudson has some quality products. I haven’t tried much from Hudson Valley , but can attest to the quality of the few varieties I have .
Life is better with Kratom
😎🍃kratom saves lives 🍃😎

I recently learned about this wonderful leaf and am happy to be a part of this new world!! So far I have tried a few and am finding the white is best for me...any suggestions???

Hudson Valley Botanicals has great Green Maeng Da, and also Green Hulu, though the Green Hulu is more medium speed/mood enhancing while the Maeng Da is a straight up heavy hitter. In Sense Botanicals White Hulu was always as fast as anything else out there, and pretty pleasant as well. Otie's excels with their Greens, and I've had great experiences with their Super Green Malay, though I read of lots of people raving over their Super Green.
All three companies have, afaik, great suppliers, and a great relationship with them, which seems in the Kratom business to make all the difference in the world.
P.S. The height of irony is me getting excited by reading my words about the White Chocolate Borneo and now determined to take that next. lol 😎

Very new here, hoping to make connections. I just started Kratom and love the benefits and effects it has. So far the white has been my go to but would really like advice and feedback on the other strains. Any help and knowledge is appreciated 🙂

Hi! I’m a 58 year old female user. Hoping to learn and share info and ideas about Kratom.
