Stem & Vein - Controling your Tolerance
I got some start over stem from MMM, Speciosa. I would suspect that this is just like the stem and vein that other vendors sell just packaged and advertised differently. soooooo.......
How exactly do I bring this into my rotation?
How does it work?
Does it work?
Any advice would be great,
Thank you
Jason
I'm going to TRY ask this question again for 2 Reasons:
1.) It hasn't been answered
2.) because its due time I re-set my tolerance.
I can feel myself jostling with my doses and I'm losing that wonderful aroma I was once getting.
Will someone who has some experience please tell me the science behind this.
How does Stem & Vein work to help you lower your tolerance
AND MORE IMPORTANTLY.....
How do I burn it?? Do I dose as usual. (If I usually take 4 grams of Powder-Do I take 4 grams of Stem & Vein???)
Do I dose as if I am trying a new strain and see how the aroma is.
For the love of sweet Mitragyna Speciosa, WHAT DO I DO!!!!! 🙂
thank you kindly and sincerely,
Jason
Lerellen,
Overdoing it...That's my situation as well. I decided to start and give it a try so I burned 4 grams. I do feel a Tad bit of an aroma. I've Heard it can work but HOW? and will this 25g sample I got from MMM, Speciosa be enough?? or at the least a beginning.
Take in account everyones different and reacts differently...and it probably depends on the Amount that is being Over Done. But simply what am I supposed to do? 🙂 I'm burning blind on this one. But I'll share with you my experience and hopefully come back with some decent results. I have a shipment of kratom that's supposed to be here soon and I would love to get my tolerance down so I am not wasting my Kratom away.
BUT...If there is someone out there who is KNOWLEDGEABLE about this topic. PLEASE help lerellen and I (AND probably a bunch of other Kratom users out there reading this)
thanks Lerellen, I didn't want to waste my Stems and Veins by mis-using it, so I ended up going forth with the regular strains until Such information came to light.
I have been writing down my doses daily and what Kind i'm taking and when I went over how many grams I took yesterday - It really had me reconsider I need to cut down and/or take a break. This info is really great to hear and thank you for looking into it

Hope this helps some people.
So Stem & Vein can definitely help out some people lower their tolerance. Reason being is that it contains some of the same Alkaloids that the pure leaf also has, but in smaller amounts. Stem & Vein has a different Alkaloid makeup than pure leaf.
The reason Stem & Vein is removed from the grinding process is because it doesn't grind as easily as the leaf and the extra added work can even damage a grinder. Stem & Vein sometimes need to be grinded 2 or 3 times.
Personally, I prefer to leave the Stem & Vein in because the aroma feels fuller to me, but then again.. everyone is different.
So how much S&V do people burn? well, I can't make recommendations but I was told that it all depends on your tolerance and the Stem & Vein itself. I know of some people that burn their usual burn amount or 25% more than usual, then gradually lower the burn amount until you reach a desired level.

Thank you. I love this site and the people on it.
One more question I have. I am not responding at all to kratom now because I took it too often. With pain problems, I have a problem dosing too often. If a quit all together for a few days I can feel it again; would using stem and vein work the same? Because stem and vein does help pain for me a little it.
Best thing would be to stop as long as possible, but if you rather not, S&V is one of your best options. I also heard Cats Claw is great for lowering tolerance, but I have no experience with it myself. Another thing is to also constantly rotate your different types of leaf.
