Heres a blog post from Top Tree Herbs -

Dr.Grundman, Sorren and Sam of Top Tree Herbs as well as Hamilton Morris and others are helping with getting better science studies for kratom’s benefits and the potential side effects .
These folks are doing the good work! This study/ survey will help back kratom’s legitimacy as a safe herb.
Anyone who drinks kratom tea primarily , and interested in being in the study , check em out 😎🍂

This is really great to see that Kratom is getting actual Research done. We need all these studies to back up what we say about Kratom all the time, that it is safe & it will save lives from the grip of addiction. I feel for the ones who have to live in a state where it is banned. It is like banning Caffeine. If the government banned Caffeine you would see backlash from millions of people. I actually think Kratom is safer than Caffeine. I think Mississippi is doing Research Studies on Kratom as well.

Intelligence is like a river. The deeper it is... the less noise it makes.

I agree !! We need this important science to back what we all know to be true , kratom is a very beneficial herb with big safety margin .
Im very excited to follow this study and see what they come up with . The thing about this study is that it’s geared towards the traditional route of of taking kratom tea . I personally consume powder 98% of the time .... but feeling mighty inspired to substitute a serving of powder for tea once a day.
That would be cool if they did a follow up on powdered leaf ... then we’d have some good comparisons to go by - what’s best for certain needs ... what’s the route that’s most beneficial long term etc....
Really cool folks involved with this survey ... big respect and appreciation for them doing this work.

I have to admit I have been a bit of a “closet kratom tea totaler” of sorts. Just ask Brandon - he’s seen some of my nonsense with the tea! He even made me some once!
@goshawk, I’m still trying to figure it out after years of experimenting, but it’s actually quite different, even tho it’s the same stuff!
Maybe due to the change in chemistry or something. I’m currently experimenting with some crushed leaf and a cold brew canister like @tiggermanscrat Don mentioned.
Like the powder, every tea experience has a different “flavor”. Some better than others. It’s pretty easy to accidentally go too strong. I’ve had to sip instead of gulp and I’m even setting my timer to wait for 20 minutes sometimes. Did that this morning because I was trying a new pot from WOT (see below). A good kratom tea is like a sneaker wave. I get impatient with pain. But that sneaker wave can sometimes be followed by a slow higher tide that stays in longer than expected. I’m not very good with visuals. But it is easy too go, “hmmm nuthin”… and then 30 minutes later …BAM you’ve have too much! That wait time is difficult but recommended!
Maybe this will help. You know how weed is smoked, right? Typically. But. Some people eat it instead. Edible weed is not much like smoking it. Not to me, anyway.
I’m currently trying some samples I got from a friend, WOT doing small reselling at: https://mewe.com/group/6048913fd81d7014c412833c I’m having his crushed leaf red Bali tea today.
Also, I’m a routine drinker of UOK tea (Ultra Organics Kratom, their website is https://ultraorganicskratom.com) and they are an ILK vendor with a coupon available in the DEALS AND DISCOUNTS section here someplace - I’m sure we can help you find it. Actually, the code is ILK15 for 15% off. Please tell them Laurie at ILK recommended you try it (the latest recipe is not my favorite. I’m hoping to be more closely involved in sampling the different recipes).. they are still a fairly new company - under 2 years, I think. They’ve been in touch with me since they started but the roll-out of pre-brewed liquid tea is a completely different business model than with powder and it was STOP N GO so that’s why I didn’t say much, but they are fully stable and stocked now. I’m trying to get them to maybe make a pomegranate flavored tea based on my own adjustments to their pre-made tea. Having bottled, liquid tea in bottles for on-the-go is AWESOME. I still have most of the empties for refilling 😎. I’m on a break from this tea. Since I’m trying some of the other ones. The good thing about this tea is it can be kept on the shelf until I get back to thirsty! There are 3 colors/strains.
Finally, and this is exciting news:
@somethingsacred Brandon discovered a little diamond in the kratom tea business recently, Top Tree Herbs ( https://toptreeherbs.com). Sam is getting lined up as an approved vendor here. I JUST got some samples to try recently. Brandon hooked me up with the Apple Spice flavored crushed leaves. I got two batches of cold brewed tea out of half a bag Brandon gave me (he shares everything. 50/50!). Very enjoyable.
I’m looking it up now, but you can look for yourself. There are blends and raw leaf and they’ve got empty tea bags for making your own…
A lot of our regular kratomites include liquid leaf in their lives these days (NOT NOT NOT to be confused with liquid extract shots found in convenience stores. AVOID THOSE! Life wreckers in a jiffy, those things. Just my personal opinion based on some research and my own ongoing recovery journey).
SUN 🌞 TEA 🌞 SEASON 🌞 IS 🌞 HERE
Have a wee bit better day!

ive found 3 tea bags a good dose for me.
I’ll soak the tea bags im GFJ or lemon juice for 10-20 minutes.
Then ill put that in a thermos and pour just boiled water in . I’ll put the lid on the thermos and let it steep all night. I’ve found that the long steep times are very beneficial but perhaps not critical?? But I figure more of the alkaloids can be extracted with longer steeping . I’m just starting to get into tea drinking .... so I’m def not a master at it .... yet LOL! But off to a good start .
I’ll put approx 1 Tbs of maple syrup in the 16 or so oz of tea .... it’s very delicious. Especially the loose apple spice flavored tea blend from Top Tree Herbs , sooo good flavor wise . The effects where a bit more subtle than taking powder , but I substituted my 2nd powder dose of the day for the tea I made the night before . Gave me 5 hrs before thinking about having another serving . The effects were warm and soothing , gently elevated mood . Nice pain relief .
Def something I’m inspired to drink more of ..!!..
I’m thinking a mint, ginger and turmeric kratom tea would be bomb .....

Hey 👋 @laurie!!
Im getting more into the idea of incorporating this herbal beverage into my routine. The tea you shared with me from UOK rekindled some interest to try it again . And now I’m stoked at the thought of brewing regularly. Especially after reading more about tea intake versus powder .... I can’t see myself stopping with powder entirely, more likely to drink tea possibly 1-2 servings in the day . Very cool ! It’s a diff animal than powder ... but im digging it . 🍂❤️ ....can see this might be a good way to lower tolerance as well....
effective but diff .... all good either way 😎
Kratom is such an amazing herb, it’s fun to be discovering (more accurately giving it another go) diff routes to utilize this lovely leaf 🍂

Yes, lilbro @somethingsacred Brandon, it is different, but hard to put into words.
@madmaxnightrider is a big tea drinker because he has stomach issues and has to take breaks from leaf. A lot of people do tea because of the digestion issues associated with leaf.
Theres another kratom vendor carrying tea, on the pricey side of life. Etha Naturals. They also carry leaf (not to be confused with extract) in tablets, which I also recommend if you can afford it. I’m interested in trying their new tea bags, but I’m on the fence about the prices. I can’t afford to like it. LOL. I don’t know anything about the vast, remote areas of Indonesia, so those names look enticing!
I find the tea DOES change the tolerance quite a bit. But like everything else kratom, you can’t just decide, “I’m gonna do THIS from now on!” You gotta take tea breaks, too. Or at least, it’s recommended.
What’s everyone else trying? Hopefully some more people are finding this website now that we are ironing the kinks out. One day at a time.
Have a wee bit better day!

I just wanted to correct something I mentioned about the tea survey .... you don’t have to be a “I only drink tea “ person to do the survey. But more like if you drink tea , you can participate in the survey .
There’s a apple spice kratom tea blend that I tried from Tree Top Herbs ..... lusciously delicious! I can see myself drinking that on a reg basis! So good !!
