MY OPINIONS ARE MY OWN HERE:
My own experience in the trenches and on Facebook this weekend found regular users and new users recommending “concentrates and shots” instead of 2 or 4 leaf capsules for beginners under the guise of misinformed perceptions of safety.
Rampant misuse of adulterated kratom IS PART OFTHE PROBLEM, but the irresponsible VENDORS and then uninformed and misguided USERS are not without blame.
Leaf is under threat as a result, no matter where blame is placed (ultimately only lack of personal responsibility is to blame).
Vendor businesses and Family businesses and our loved ones’ access to leaf products is under true and real threat. Indonesian families are in peril if the United States bans kratom as a result of the lack of self responsibility with using substances.
BEFORE PANIC BUYING, please consider contributing to keeping the leaf legal with proper representation (see post above for donating to legal help) AND PLEASE educate users who are sadly ingesting products without a good search online about safe use of kratom. Why people think these products are the same thing as leaf is not understood. But they seem to think everything with the word, “kratom” on it is safe and they seem to have no ability to process the “too good to be true” concept with their own problem product use.
In my opinion only, these products have NO BUSINESS being labeled as kratom because they are chemically altered to the point of absolutely NO RELATION to kratom (in my opinion) and being placed in convenience stores en mas!
Please help correct misguided users while you navigate the web in your day. Help people to invest in a moment of clear education about ingesting before investing (a simple Google search or two) into this rampantly expanding situation.

I'm a paid subscriber to a Tulsi Gabbard group, and though her military unit (she's a Major in the Hawaiian National Guard) got called up I posted a request that she contact the bipartisan group of Congresscritters that she stood with before, when they took a principle stand against a Kratom ban. She is no longer in Congress, but I'm guessing that some people would read her emails.
If you know anyone in the AKA, tell them to do the same, if they haven't already.

couldn't agree more! where there’s a opportunity to help educate folks on building a healthy relationship with kratom...... make good on that opportunity. Help explain the reasons for choosing leaf over concentrated forms , about cultivating a beneficial and sustainable/respectful approach with kratom. It’s known that anything can be used recklessly and abused, and with kratom, mindfulness along with kratom’s very own built in ceiling effect,,,,, very low abuse potential, makes this a herb of extreme importance in helping folks relieve ailments and live better lives .

Y'all have been doing the best work on education through welcoming people to the forum, the community and sharing tips on staying safe for long term use as chronic pain and / or depression continue to recur.
All you need to do is keep up the good work!
It’s extremely important that you continue to tell people your story and how leaf improves your quality of life but is minimally impairing if used with care.
Unfortunately, the out-of-control addicts in society are choosing products found in gas stations and quick stops and 7-11. That simply cannot continue IN MY OPINION. Like so many good and special things in life, they are abused to the point that they must be swiftly removed from EVERYONE. Kratom is synonymous with SAFETY and that word being on shelves in convenience stores is misrepresentation.
IN MY OPINION
Just like how the leaf product is really not fully appreciated without the synergy within our bodies.
I hope we can turn this ship around!
@tiggermanscrat! I did the same as you! I placed an order of samples from Socratic Solutions to try them AND THEIR TEA products, in particular. I’ll explain the need for tea some other time.
So I also matched that order with a donation to the AKA for the ominous representation they will need to get on our behalf, due to this growing problem.
People will ALWAYS blame guns for gunshots, SUV’s for car crashes and alcohol for bad decisions. Kratom is also merely a substance and it’s USE is up to us. But nobody is bothering to read up on something they now use ALL DAY EVERY DAY.
Blaming inanimate objects for behavior is not new. And it’s common in society so we need to accept that utter nonsense and we wonder why the government thinks we can’t make our own decisions…

Laurie I agree. Head shops and gas stations or liquor store, etc., are out of control and people who are ignorant about what Kratom and how it works are being taken advantage of...,
It also hurts the many responsible Kratomites who benefit from a myriad of this miraculous plant 🌱. I sure hope that the legality of Kratom turns into just regulations, such as GMPs and monitored vendors are are shady and act like dealers!
At any rate, I just saw that insensebotanicals.com and goldleafbotanicals.net are having 3-day MemorialDay sale!!! Huge sale on all red, white, and green vein sales—each day!!! That is awesome and I wanted to see if anyone is experienced with these two entities, which I was told, was run by the same people, hence the acronym ISGL.
What strains would you recommend? I use all 3 colors, although some whites give me jitters. Does anybody have any suggestions for me. I like all three vein colors, so please send me your feedback!
