SITSA direct threat reminder

Here's an article y'all will find worthy of reading as a reminder that we are not free and clear to enjoy kratom without worry at this time. While it's fine today, attention needs to be paid to this up and coming threat to our loved vendors to be able to serve us without a big (or small) fuss. Please support signing the petition I'm going to post as well. Here's the article of sincere importance:
Thank you for your time!

We (myself and the AKA) need your help in getting more signatures on the petition that they (the AKA) want to give to the U.S. Congress about protecting kratom.
Here is the link to that petition:

I'd just like to put out a suggestion to forum members to support all the approved vendors on ILK, even if you have to go to some extra trouble, such as writing a check for your order or buying a money order, etc.
Vendors are under tremendous financial stress right now, caused (I suspect) directly or indirectly by Operation Chokepoint as a way to defeat the kratom movement without consideration of the proof we have given the FDA of the safety and minimal addiction potential of this herb. This is the DEA's dirty way of starving our good vendors of the cash they need to keep their doors open to all of us -- and we need to outsmart the DEA and CC processing corruptos in any way we can.
I'm just suggesting we place orders now with vendors who are begging for business, even if we won't need to order for a while. You know you'll want to have that product eventually (and it will store just fine), so -- to keep the good vendors we know, trust, and love in business until we can settle our issues with the FDA and DEA, please consider placing an order with one or more of the fine vendors who need your orders to feed their families.
Your signature on this AKA petition against this SITSA bill will help keep kratom legal, but if we don't keep our good small vendors in business in the meantime, there will be a supply crunch when we finally declare victory.
Thanks for your consideration of this unusual request!
😉

This is really serious. Though SITSA says it's aimed at synthetic "drugs", this could easily be used against Botanicals. There is no wording to exempt kratom and it's alkaloids. Please support your vendors and the fight of this loophole to putting us all back where we started - without kratom. Please use this threat to stock up a bit as a precaution and to support your vendors (they're going through a lot of red tape without our being aware).

I signed the petition :-bd , i really dont know about the future of kratom here in the usa, The government here kind of has a history of just doing what they want one way or the other, But im trying to stay positive. It helps soo many people, that i cant believe that would ban it, I am sure there are a lot more people that use it as it should be, than people who try to abuse it. Kratom is just not a fun thing to abuse lol.
I think the DEA should be more focused on the stuff out there that does get you high, and is toxic and bad for you. There are a lot of things available right now, through clearnet, that are horrible for people to use, not to mention how addictive and toxic, and lethal some of those research chemicals are. That is what they should be fighting, Not kratom. Just my opinion though. There are research chemicals, that have been mixed with drugs and killed all kinds of people. A lot of people have overdosed (or died) and been hospitalized and died over research chemicals.
And for some reason our dea is after kratom. ?? Kratom has never killed anyone that i know of, and i dont know of anyone that has been hospitalized for taking it. Why would they waste all the time and money to try to ban kratom, with all the other stuff thats going on and available in the usa right now? Kratom saves lives. I dont think it should be affiliated with the opiate abuse epidemic here in the us at all. It just isnt what they are treating it as.
There definitely are things here in the usa available that really are drugs, and really are hurting and killing people. (research chemicals) And i think that should be their focus, Not kratom. Kratom is nothing like research chemicals or drugs. Its just that simple.
Just my two cents.....

Not advocating anything illegal as a legal disclaimer. But Bitcoin guys. Bitcoin.

I agree with you that bitcoin work as a method of payment, and that it is not too difficult to figure out and use. I just think that having to use bitcoin to buy kratom gives it a bad look. Bitcoin is associated with a lot of grey area stuff, and i feel it makes kratom look bad. But thats just me. But i also see that we are running out of options to pay for it, so we have to use something. I wish the dea would just leave kratom alone lol. I mean seriously it is nothing compared to a lot of stuff thats out there. Medicinal marijuana is legal now in a lot of states, and is even legal as recreational in several states, it is another herb with medicinal uses. But in all honesty marijuana gets you high as well, and actually does impair you and effect motor skills, and thinking lol, kratom does not do that (to me anyways). Yet they are trying to ban it? I can not use marijuana myself, even if it were legal in my state, as it impairs me too much to function, and actually makes my anxiety worse. Kava is another botanical, that was actually approved by the fda (correct me if im wrong) that has medicinal uses, and it can impair your motor skills and response times, more so than kratom for me. So what is the big deal here that makes kratom worse? I just dont understand it. 😕
