Q: What year did you begin? A: Jaya Kratom was founded in 2020 when we opened our brick and mortar specialty kratom dispensary in Portland, Oregon, but as founders, our relationship with kratom and work in the industry goes back over a decade. Q: What was the motivation for starting your company? A: A few years ago while living in Indonesia we noticed that the quality of the kratom we were getting was far superior to any of the kratom we’d encountered in the States. After securing a research grant we set off into the heart of the Borneo rainforest to understand why. Not only did we gain deep insight into the local kratom industry (which you can read about on our website), but we also made friends with some of the best kratom farmers in the world who are taking quality to the next level. That journey inspired us to start Jaya, partnering with our favorite growers and bringing to the US a kratom of the highest quality. Q: What separates your company from others? A: As a company founded in research, we are experts in cultivation methods and how to produce great kratom, so we are able to work with our farmers to produce top notch kratom straight off the bat, instead of the gamble other companies take when they import blindly (spoiler alert: that’s a major reason why there’s so much mediocre kratom on the market today- most US vendors have no idea what factors influence the quality of kratom). We’re also proud to say that after having met the producers ourselves and been to the farms, we know that our kratom is made under fair and ethical circumstances, is supportive of small-scale agriculture and is ecologically sound. On the US side, we are also pioneering the regulations we feel should be in place: proper packaging, licensed facilities and rigorous lab testing to assure the satisfaction and safety of our customers. Q: Are you cGMP certified? A: Absolutely! Both our kratom dispensary and our packing center are fully licensed with the Oregon Department of Agriculture. This means that the state’s food safety inspectors have come and rigorously inspected our facilities, our lab testing protocol and certified our entire operation is up to code. Q: Has your company received any awards or certifications? A: So far we’ve been awarded all 5-star reviews on Google from our customers, which is the only award we’re interested in!

Q: What specials do you offer? A: We opted to make our regular pricing accessible rather than run specials, that said we do send out the occasional discount code to anyone who’s signed up to our mailing list and have a few bundle options such as our sample packs and split kilos. Q: What are your top 5 products and why? A: We go for quality over quantity, so we only stock a select few high-quality kratoms. Our time in Borneo taught us that there are really only a few distinct variations of kratom that truly exist, the rest are just fabricated names for the sake of marketing (read more about that here). Because we’re a transparent company, you can trust that we only stock kratoms that are highly effective, and truthfully distinct in character. That said, we offer all of our kratom in powder and capsule form. Our capsules are vegan and come in repurposed tins and recyclable glass bottles. Our customers also love our sample packs that are an opportunity to explore the full spectrum of our offerings. Our newly released kratom-infused skincare has been a hit too! Q: Tell us more about your customer service? A: We’re a small team and we care deeply about customer experience. We’re always happy to help our customers find what they’re looking for, and go above and beyond to keep our loyal customers happy. Q: What are the future plans for your company? A: First of all, our goal is to continue our kratom research in different regions of Southeast Asia and share with the world the highest quality kratom we find along our journeys. Now that Thailand has fully legalized kratom we are excited to go back and visit some of our friends there who are now able to operate in the open and speak on the record. We would also like to open other branches of our brick and mortar dispensary in different parts of the US. It’s great that people can order from our website anywhere in the country but having a physical storefront has been really rewarding because we have been able to share the beauty of kratom with many people who wouldn’t have found it otherwise. It’s been a joy to create a space and atmosphere that elevates kratom and portrays it in the phenomenal light it deserves.
