BASELINE ATTITUDES AND EXPERIENCES AMONG VOTERS

Nearly 8 out of 10 likely voters support expanding medication-assisted treatment for people who are struggling with opioid addiction. There is overwhelming backing among Democrats (with an impressive 77 point margin), Independents (62 points) and Republicans too!
There is overwhelming support for increasing access to naloxone among all voters, with an impressive +67 point margin. Over three quarters of Americans identify as being in favor and only 12% opposed – this includes 84 percent of Democratic respondents (79%), 75% Independents (68%) or 66%.
This data points out how important it can be solve the overdose problem by providing more tools available when someone has taken too many opioids.
A large percentage wants what they feel will help save lives so there’s no reason to not provide these drugs without judgment.
Opioid abuse is a serious problem in America. tolerance surrounding this subject has reached new heights, and many people are now calling for Project Safe Neighborhoods proposed “overdose prevention centers” as an answer to solve what they see happening around them – including politician’s at all levels of government who support opening these safe spaces where users can get emergency medical attention should anything go wrong while using prescription painkillers or other drugs like heroin without fear that their actions will result in arrest footage being recorded by surveillance cameras installed inside each facility.
In a recent survey, 69% of likely voters supported the idea that possession for drugs should be decriminalized. This policy received strong support from both parties with 27 percent who are Democrats and 56 points more Independents in favor than opposed it at 17%.
